Connect your Notion workspace
Start with the OAuth flow so Notionalysis can discover the pages you choose to track.
- Sign in to Notionalysis and open your workspace.
- Click Connect Notion in the sidebar or on the Pages screen.
- You will be redirected to Notion to authorize access.
- Select the Notion workspace you want to track and click Allow.
- You are returned to Notionalysis with the connection active.
Notionalysis requests only the permissions needed to list and read pages you select. No other Notion content is accessed.
Pick pages to track
Tracking is opt-in. You decide exactly which pages feed the reports surface.
- Go to Pages in the workspace sidebar.
- Find the Notion page you want to monitor.
- Toggle Enable tracking in the page row.
Tracking is disabled by default. Only pages you explicitly enable are counted, and you can toggle them on or off at any time.
Embed the widget inside Notion
The embed sits directly in the Notion page and derives its parent context from the surrounding iframe.
The Notionalysis widget loads via an iframe embed placed directly in your Notion page.
- In the Pages list, copy the embed URL for the page after enabling tracking.
- Open the Notion page you want to instrument and type
/embedto insert an embed block. - Paste the embed URL into the embed dialog and press Enter.
- The widget appears as a small inline block at the bottom of the page.
Because Notion's embed block runs in an iframe, the widget automatically derives the parent Notion page URL from document.referrer. No additional configuration is needed.
If your workspace uses a custom domain or a strict referrer policy, append ?url=<URL-encoded Notion page URL> to the embed URL to explicitly set the tracked page.
Verify data in the dashboard
The first live check should happen in Reports / Overview.
- Open Reports / Overview in the sidebar.
- Visit the Notion page you just instrumented in a private or separate browser window.
- Within about a minute, page views should appear in the Overview dashboard.
- Country data appears automatically based on visitor location.
If you do not see data after a few minutes, check the troubleshooting guide.
Revoke or replace access later
Ownership and destructive operations remain explicit and reversible until you confirm deletion.
You have multiple ways to remove or replace Notionalysis access:
- Reconnect or disconnect Notion: go to Settings / Integrations / Reconnect Notion.
- Delete your workspace: go to Settings / Advanced / Delete workspace and confirm with the workspace name.
- Delete your account: go to Profile / Delete profile and confirm with Delete my profile.
Need more help?
If the setup path stalls, move to troubleshooting or contact support with the workspace slug and affected page URL.
Before you start
Use the Notion account that owns or manages the content you plan to instrument.
Remember that page tracking is opt-in even after the workspace connection succeeds.
